Hillco Fasteners Super Cruise XIV 2/5/2017-pt. 1 Garden Grove CA (Orange County, So. Cal.) A few enthusiast decided to do something different this year for Super Bowl Sunday & the results were pleasing and well worth the effort. Instead of sleeping in and getting geared up to watch two teams compete for the championship later in the day like many, others chose to get their cars ready the night before in order to get up early in the a.m. and drive over to the Super Cruise XIV at Hillco Fasteners in Orange county. Nestled in the NW corner of Garden Grove, CA, Hillco is located in a light industrial area of the city next to the 22 fwy. and are in the business of supplying all types of hardware and fasteners to various enthusiasts who build and modify or restore motorcycles, vehicles and boats. They've hosted a show from 9am-2pm every Super Bowl Sunday for over a decade now that raised money via 50/50 raffle & vehicle lift giveaway ($20 a ticket) for the Gary Sinise (the actor, i.e., "Lt. Dan" fm. Forrest Gump movie fame) foundation which is geared towards military charitable support. The show is open to "anything with wheels" and offers a great variety of cars and motorcycles with differing build themes, years, makes, models and country's of origin. Lots of cool stuff to see and hear, but the focus in this & the next thread from this show will be bikes, hot rods, customs, stockers & restored stuff meeting the 1964 & prior H.A.M.B./Jalopy Journal criteria....PRE48V-8\:^] P.S./Check out 90-plus yr. old "Howard", one of oldest living members of the Long Beach, CA model T Ford club in his pristine white driving suit which he wore while driving his RAJO-head equipped 'banger powered T speedster on the freeway to this year's Hillco Super Cruise XIV! His fellow club member standing next to him drove his black, T roadster w/red wire wheels which is also OVH'd w/a Ruckstall driveline (I believe that's the correct spelling). It'll be in the last batch of images....
