I'm building a 56 dodge custom royal 4 door. the original motor, which was a 315 Poly motor, locked up. So i decided i was going to use a low mileage Chrysler LA small block 318 (with 727). I have to old motor out and I'm cleaning up the 318 right now. what problems will i run into trying to mount motor and transmission? I need all the help i can get thank you.

...it is a fairly long list......the 315 is a very good engine, don't scrap it!!! Where are you located?
1956 is 12 volt so you are good there.
    •front mounts
    •trans mount
    •exhaust
    •alternator wiring
•ignition wiring if the 318 has electronic dizzy
    • 50/50 on the bottom radiator outlet
    •trans linkage
•be damn sure to keep the throttle pressure governor linkage
    •drive shaft
    •later rear axle...you will need a p-brake

No doubt I have left something important. Hopefully Ray jumps in.
