Blackie, thanks for the compliment, and your work here again this week illustrates why I hold your opinion in such high regard... The detail on your stuff is just incredible! The paint looks a mile deep, and the subtle details in the reflections and surface changes are downright scary! (anyone looking to bring their work to the next level can learn volumes from that detail shot of the '54 -- just the way you handled the rounded, inward curve on the wheel opening is an added detail that sells it!)
    Nice on the '39/'36 combo!

    BoneHead,

Can't wait to show my 13 year old when I get home! He'll be thrilled. He's been drawing different views of his 54 Chevy truck all month. We've got stacks of them. He hasn't tackled oil yet so we'll see if it inspires him.

    Great job by your boy!

Blackie!! Thanks man. I needed those for my car. Stunning. I'm going to print them off and tape them to the side!

I'm working on a painting that just does not want to be finished yet. I hope to get it done before friday is over, otherwise you'll have to wait till next week.
Great art show as usual. This show has always been such an inspiration to me.
So many of you guys are so fantastic. I wish I could just watch how you guys do it. What mediums or programs are some of you using. I can figure the 1 Shot out. I'm always looking for new methods to try out or a certain program.

Tingler, looks like the shrunken head is a winner for sure. I love it myself.

Too much good stuff to list everyone I would like to. (my memory ain't that good) Here is mine for this week. Same car as last weeks, but I wanted to try it again from a different angle. It was still wet when I photographed it and the light washed out the coloring, but you get the idea. 30x42" oil on canvas

Here's an older one I found. I don't think I've shown this one yet. Still working on that other painting.

    WOOT WOOT
My first artshow post. I did this one way back in highschool. A 49 Merc on red scratch board. If you continue to srcape the red you'll get to the white paper underneath. The first one is the original, skratches and all and the othe two are after I cleaned up the black and then the white.

  29. Haven't had too much time to take pictures of any recent art,but this is my latest creation:a folding paint table made from an aluminum "walker".Everything clips to it both in the open position and when folded for transit. Eight by Twenty-four inch shelves lined with anti-skid material, top shelf has a length of angle iron affixed to one edge and opens up to form an easel for painting panels, rods for easel prop and paper towel holder(made from an old paint roller),and a small sealable trash can for paint rags.

The legs have six adjustable height positions and by carefully arranging it,I can wheel everything around on top of my Snap-On chair.
