This pic was probably taken during the Winters or Finals in between qualifing when hardly anyone sits on that side of the track. Trust me, it gets full.

Oh man, I recognize that shot of Steve Carbone's rail. In that magazine is an article titled "Percolator". Think you could post that article?
    Thanks,
    Ken

That's a great shot. I've never seen the dragster in person, but I have seen the Bearcat. Re-named "Rare Bear", she's still (as far as I know) running around the pylons at Reno every year. There are no props on her in this photo, but I think they were using modified turboprop blades. They were huge with a lot of pitch. Very unique sound when flying by at speed-you could "feel" it in your gut!

What a great thread! How many of you had a picture like that taped to your notebook in junior high or high school back in the day? I love this stuff. Thanks everyone.

Man, the paint on this FC knocked me out back then! I hope that stuff makes a comeback like everything else has been. Lace and cobweb paint? Outa sight!

  26. Lions. That is the beginning of today's RED. I've heard stories from some guys that were there.
Any pictures of the Eastwood & Barakat 32 Tudor? What more infuence does a guy need to build a real street hot rod?
    Keep the pictures coming!
Beaver Hunter? Bounty Hunter? Pure Heaven? Mickey's SOHC Comets?
Royalshifter for starting this, King, FED, and others, thank you!
