  2. I met him in 1975 while working for Auto Haus, when he was shooting some VW stuff. Soon after he had that horrible head on crash in his Baja Bug that should have killed him. The scar across the top of his head from the crushed skull is gnarly.

Charlie Hill/Hill Enterprises also owned the "Dirty Thirty" and "Filthy Forty." The "Forty" was driven by Porky Zartman. Not sure who drove the "Thirty."

If I'm not mistaken, guffey did the restoration on Bad Habit. Wish I had had the resources to bid on it at the auction.

Awesome car. Will it ever make another pass?

Dick Marchant operated Marchant's Automotive in Richmond, California for years. I worked across the street (gas station) 1978-81 and had all the machine work on my first street-racer 327 done by Dick and his cylinder head guy Karl. Dick had a early '60s b+w photo of this truck hanging behind the counter.

Scott...speaking of drag cars in motion, do you still have the YouTube links for Relic?

Cool Video. My Grandad once told me, There's no such thing as a "good crash". One day I totalled my car and realized he was right.:D

Lee there were only a few short ones...email me off line and I should be able to find them. A couple showed up of the '33 too, on the street.
