Looking real good ! Betcha those taillights are short timers, too. A pair of the GM station wagon lights from the '40s on the ends of the frame rails ??? Would really like a couple detail pics of the rear wheels, especially inside ...

What a neat car. Hope you never repaint it.
The style, thin line stroke is reminiscent of some of Von Dutch's work. Here's a shot of the Hirohata Merc glove box door-which also features a couple of tiny men! CCC-Hirohata_Mercury-07-W.jpg If your's wasn't done by the master is was done by someone of the era that was quite good and emulated him.
Hopefully some stripers that are knowledgeable about historic work can ID the artist!

Very neat car! Love the striping, it has that old time feeling you selsom see in modern stripes. Have you tried to get hold of the eBay seller?

Just found a old thread with some history on my car. It was raced in the Tulsa area from 59-61. It was also striped by a fella named King Dave. and it was also running olds power plant.

Cool on finding some of it's history. That may joggle the memories of some of the East Oklahoma brigade.

My old man is looking at swapping motors in his 54 caddy. So if I'm lucky he will sell me his 331. I think it would make a cool hot rod motor.

I am looking for some ideas for this bland motor situation I have going on in this car. From what I understand the car was running an olds motor from 58-61 when it caught fire and was parked. At some point after 2010 when the car was found someone put a stock 283 in it. Being that I live in the middle of nowhere Louisiana it might be hard to track down an early olds motor to place back in it. So for the time being I was thinking of trying to either build up 283 or my 327 that i have sitting around. What would be some of the best touches i could put on either of these motors to make them seem right out of 58-61. thanks .

The very fact that your new ride is an early Chevrolet like mine grabbed my attention! Even way cooler is also the fact that your '32 was built in the '60's with the proof still showing! DO NOT EVER GET RID OF THAT GREAT ROD!!

Thanks guys. I usually don't keep cars long but this one might be an exception.

When I saw that thin pinstripe style, (the pic resembles a 'tiki') Von Dutch came to mind, natch... I also thought of Von... Wait. Dead? Passed away?
    But it couldn't be.
    Oh. 'King Dave'...not familiar.
One thing that grabbed me: SBC, kinda right where it belongs...
