  3. You mean acid trip, & rust dipped ala "Two Lane Rust Pot". It was easy for Kip to take the floor out, as he beat the roof back up, the floor fell out.

Yes sir...I've been thinking of going to a steeper gear though...from 4.10's to either 4.30 or 4:56.

  6. I'll bet Capt'n Grape says, "don't be sissy, get the 4.56's"!

That 55' will make a great race car. It would not have been good for much else. Love the cragar wheels and tires for the front. If you can have the stance of that first car "Dirty Ole Man" you will have an awesome car. I will enjoy seeing the buildup.

I love the fact that it had license plates too.

I hear you Kip, California frame in the 55, I wish Shannon's (Pale Rider) had had one. They were rare but should be lighter and look a lot better.

Did you just lucky on the California chassis being in the car or did you find it somewhere else.

That's what it came with...and it was made right in Janesville Wisconsin...I've read that the seamless frame was used in other plants too...I don't know why they had two styles...and different bumpers too.

Wonder why they called them California frames. The seamless bumpers came on the nomads or did they come on other cars also.
