Post up some pix of the "kustoms" you've built for the diorama...I was a model car freak when I was young and modified every AMT kit I could get my hands on...and at that time they were only 59 cents or 99 cents (means I'm really really old...!!!).

Now that is awesome. Great work.

  5. Lookin' good! As an architect, architectural model builder, and model car builder, I can tell you that you are doing a great job. Another texturing product you might be able to use is Gesso, available in artist supply shops. Painters use it to coat and seal their canvas and boards. Sandpaper makes good shingles and asphalt roofs. Here's a few more shots of the Barris shop.

As a former brick and stone mason I can tell you the blocks used were either 8x155/8or 75/8x155/8.inches. That is an awesome project and I will be watching closely. You're doing a great job!

I just spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to subscribe to this thread (I'm still learning this business). I had to. This is way too cool not to watch.

Wow, I really think this is cool.... You've got to give us a preview of the cars too...

  23. Hot-rod dude, your son has received a lot of compliments, and I think you deserve one also. You are one hell of a dad and you will receive much joy from your son as the years pass because you were a great father.
