    Hello,

I have 3 cars I am currently working on.

    28 Model A Tudor
    31 Model A Coupe
    35 Ford Fordor

I have found a few gear sets, and was wondering if all Banjo rear end gears interchange between each other? I.E. the Model A rear's with say 41-48?

  2. Model A banjos and V8 banjos will NOT interchange.

I believe all the V8 (32-48) banjos will interchange, though....

  3. No interchange between A's and later rears. '46-'48 rears are 1-1/2" wider than the earlier '35-'41 rears also.

Later gears can be put into the 32-34 axles with machine work.

Yes, the gears will fit 35 - 48.

Use the entire center section to swap...one minor caution is that axles used 1935-40 had two different tooth counts at spiders, changing about 1938, but if your rear has the wrong spider count for the '47 center you just need to transplant the gears matching your axles into the inner case of the '47.

Anything that has decent gears and a ratio you like AND fits a driveshaft you can use...I don't believe there would be any difference in strength '35-48.
