THIS ^^^^ is what Barris was after. "The Perfect Teardrop." George said it himself.

Is the rear window just being laid down?

I ask because, like the title of your thread, I’ve seen cars where some wannabe cut the roof and then found out they couldn’t get glass for it to fit. Too many cool cars have been hacked and then sold off because someone didn’t plan. You see them in the online classifieds all the time.

I know what you mean. I don't think my hacked on cool car will be in the online classifieds any time soon. But....ya never know....

I'm waiting for the part where you ruin it, not seeing it. ;)

Finally finished up on some of my other work. Get to spend time on the Merc now. Doing a little stainless windshield trim. IMG_5966.jpeg

How’s your Merc these days? Road worthy? You planning on the CCR this year?

  23. Merc is currently down for the count. Rounded off the cam. I was just going to fix it, but landed a freshly rebuilt motor and decided to take the opportunity to finally fix the whole front end. Progress is slow with other projects going on, but hope to be back on it soon. So, yes, I'll be at Indy, but not with the Merc. I have a surprise up my sleeve.... ;)

  25. @wide34 a few more weeks. It's being picked up Sunday and going to Dallas for a buff and polish to freshen up the lacquer. Hopefully in my hands early March. My friends keep saying how patient I am and that they would be chewing their arm off....what they don't know is I'm typing with my feet since both of my arms are now missing. LOL
