The coolest is the Edsel wagon, but they have to be on the right car which is usually a ford of the same year series. I remember seeing either at Paso or LSRU a really nice Ranchero converted to Edsel pieces and it was amazing. They add to the truck without shoving it in your face, and I am sure a number of people thought it was a stock, but never made, 1959 Edsel Ranchero,,, now lets have a little game,,, what would Ford called an Edsel Ranchero,, something more sophisticated? Town Brake (taking a cue from RR)

You're so right about the 49-50 Lincoln taillights. As a little kid I saw them a lot on 46-48 Fords.

There used to be an Edsel Ranchero around here many years ago, but I haven't seen it in years. Now I wish I had taken a picture or two of it back then. I thought it was really cool, and still do.

you would be suprised how many people have done the Edsel ranchero conversion. Just google image search "edsel ranchero" and there are about 2 dozen different ones out there

The '60 Chrysler lights are fairly common in customs, but I always thought that '59 Chrysler tail lights would look great in something (else) with fins. These poor cars were burdened with that heavy, awkward bumper but the tail lights have a great style.

The Edsel Bermuda tail lights look great in '57 Thunderbirds, too.

Imagine a world where the guy who tooled up the reproduction '59 Cadillac tail lights instead reproduced the '50 Lincoln lights. Think of all the fat fendered cars that would have benefitted from the graceful integration of the elegant Lincoln lights, but were instead treated to tunneled Caddy lights that look like a red turd emerging from a puckered butt-hole.

Had exactly tbe same conversation with a paying customer just last week, who is adamant he wants Repop 59 lamps tunneled in. I will try not to think too much about the puckered butthole whilst i toil away . Remember the "customer is always right!". . . .

one of the most overlooked nowadays, and shows up in old photos, '49/'51 Ford.

Best thing about these is all the parts are available re-pop. I have a pair of '51's I am thinking about frenching into the back of my T coupester body.

I put 48 Hudson tail lights on one of m F1s, not something you see every day.

    Jive-Bomber,
One of the "forgotten" tail lights is the one that can work as well as the '54 Merc...that's the '56 Chrysler, which is cool with just the lens or even complete if you have room.
