No....and it would be pretty difficult to wrinkle those wrinkle walls like that if it was up on stands.

 

Yes, finally. It's been really nice here this whole week, tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 80's.

 

We had two Comets trying to qualify at CHRR,mine and Ken Godsey's.Ken made the show,got beat in round one,I failed to qualify,bummer!!! ROY.

We Just had the First Aussie version of Drag Week over the past week here in Australia, we travelled about 1600 miles over 4 days & raced at 4 tracks, I competed with my 64 Comet, it made the distance with no problems & ran its best time 10.77 @ 124.8 mph, & at the final meet won the DYO bracket in the Street car Shootout, heres a couple pics

 

Great looking car and runs strong. What is the pwr.plant if I may ask?......Al

You can really see it is down on power,no front end lift,no planting of the slicks,Comet was two tenths and three mph off,I think it is tired!!! 5 seasons may be too much to ask!!! ROY.

Was the 60' down much Roy? 3mph is off a bunch, I thought with no wheels up you may of changed 1st gear while trans was apart.......Al

 

Al;YES,the 60' times were terrible,both passes were almost identical at all increments! I left the gear spread alone for now,thinking of a 5 speed for better gear spread. ROY.

 

If you need to get rid of that Jerico... I know a falcon that would use it!
