Selling my Dad's 1940 Ford Standard Business Coupe. Here is your chance to buy one of the best un-restored, low mile, original paint 40 Fords in the country. Same owner last 60 years. This car is like a time capsule from the 1950’s. It shows 51,777 ORIGINAL MILES!!! The paint is over 80% original and has quite a bit of shine (never buffed). No visible rust. It has been garaged since new, and in a heated garage since 1962. The last time it was driven was in the mid 70’s. There is currently no engine in it. The only type of engine this car ever had since new was a Flathead.

The original owner lived in Pinckneyville, Illinois. He sold it to a young man in DuQuoin, Il. around 1955. My dad bought it in 1957 and drove it sparingly. He made a few minor changes to it in his first couple years of ownership. The custom changes I am aware of are: 1) NOS 41 Ford bumpers. 2) Front shackles to lower the front end. 3) 49-51 Mercury 5 ½” wheels. 4) Dodge Lancer hubcaps. 5) Trunk latch and license bracket removed and leaded in. 6) seat covers and door panels.
