I really like the flex plate having, "MADE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" embosed on it. Does the bellhousing also have that proclamation? Way to go!!! Butch/56sedandelivery.

Yes it will use a stock starter, new 176 tooth ring gears are used
Or you have the option of my high torque mini starter witih same gear

Price should be finalized in next few days
I have some done that are spoken for and Im trying to get a feel for how big my next batch should be

  9. WOW! That's cool, and I know it's been long overdue. I haven't had a lot of Oldsmobiles, and THIS cures a major reason for it. Anyway, my questions in case I see an Olds I like

    1-when?
    2-how much?
3-what else is needed besides what you'll offer to complete?
4-Have you measured or installed in a 50's to early 60's car to see if the adapter puts the trans far back enough to cause interferance with the floor pans/driveshaft tunnel?(would TH350 be better, or do-able if desired?)

  22. Will the adapter bolt to a TH350? (answered)I prefer them for many reasons. The adapter looks like it bolts to the front pump(?) bolts, and I don't know if 400's and 350's are the same. Does the front pump face get machined before the adapter goes on the trans?

The pump face is machined from the factory

  25. Variation on the JB Super Bell adapter/safety shroud used in drag racing. I'm surprised we don't see more adapters made like this.

that looks great. I like the fact that the bell housing mates to the entire back end of the olds. I have '60 394 that I am connecting to a 700r4. I had a guy in California do the work and i sure as hell hope it works. been messing with the mounts to get it right. Since my version of the chop does not have a full surround like yours does, i have to fab a dust cover. I like your work much better!

[The 350 and 400 pump bolts are NOT the same. The torque converters will swap but thats it.

The interest in the early Rocket is still strong. That is why we continue to make it more user freindly.
Here is a little more info about our lastest trans adapt
    It will fit 303,324,371,394Olds
49-55 caddy With extended block housing
The bellhousing is billet aluminum [not cast]then anodized
It has provision for side mounts if needed
Flywheel is billet aluminum anodized with a new 176t ringear
There is machine work needed to the 350 or 400turbo case.
    These are the following options:
    Just adaptor with hardware
    External balance option
    Adaptor with machined case
Complete rebuilt trans, convertor and adaptor ready to run
    stock or aluminum pan
    Lockup convertor
I will speak to each person and taylor to their needs

As I have said I have a few done that are spoken for
What I would like to do is have anyone who is interested PM me so I can start a list
I will respond to your PM with pricing
We are a small shop and I need to gauge my material order for the size of the next batch
I am probably about 30-45 days on the next run
This will also tell me if I should keep this as a shelf item

Feel free to phone so I can answer any questions about any of our products or services
Thanks cause I know my typing is painfull reading
    Tony 330-720-1282

And if you think the trans is cool wait till next week:D
