Thanks everyone! As a parent, you don't get to be "cool" too often, so you have to savor the moment! F&J = Shout out to the night crew at Pratt and Whitney! Bet they could make some cool parts on nights. Us shift workers have to stick together! Mike, so far she has met Gene Winfield, Bill Hines and George Barris. She is also homesick and I miss her bad. Chad - LOL! Dreamy? Really now, aren't you supposed to be thashing for Roundup? I'd better check your thread for progress!
A truly amazing (not only women) but person. I love hearing stories about great and inspiring parents. It's my driving force to do the same with my child. Thank you for all the hard work. You're inspiring so many.
That turned out great! Congrats! Good to see you did it. I got side tracked again on mine. I'm back on it now though. And a long way to go.
for those of you that have subscribed to the Tuffy build threads, but missed this photo pictorial, road trip thread: Tuffy does Roundup! -W
Still need to work through some bugs when I get caught up around my house, but I got a PM from Tim "Junior Stock", that made my day! Tuffy's first show was Hot Rod Revolution and here is the latest Rod and Custom! He's so handsome! And I love John Jackson's photography!
Wow, this is totally awesome! I just got done reading both threads on your rod. I like others, figured the car in the old pic was long gone. This is just too cool. You did an amazing job on Tuffy, and you have amazing talents. If I'm ever in your area, I'd love to come see Tuffy some where. I'm gathering parts to put a 354 in my 40, and reading your build has given me some great ideas. Thanks, and keep at it!
He's been out cruising some. I've been taking care of my Mom and it has consumed me, among other things. I did get him out Friday night and ended up meeting Dave "Nailhead Roadster", that just moved here from Florida!
I know its late here, but maybe not late elsewhere....bump for anyone whos not had the pleasure....get comfy ....any updates btw? part 1 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=397461
Way late to the party here, but as only an occasional and casual reader of this fine forum, I feel really lucky to have stumbled on this thread. I spent the better part of the afternoon reading both installments and got goosebumps more than once. Awesome story, beautiful car, and amazing lady. I hope it's still bringing you as much joy as the first day you got to drive it. - Kory
Thanks for the kind words! I've actually been working on my house more than anything, so no shop time! Bill is correct on the chopper, still collecting parts for it. I do have something in the works for Tuffy but cant let the cat out of the bag just yet!
Just checking on ya me and my buddies are trying to drive new roadsters to the round up hope to see you there !!
I've finally made it back to my shop! Been working on a 69 fastback the last couple of weeks. It feels good to do something again!
Well, I was late to the party as usual.......great car, ma'am ! Just got stuck into the thick of both threads, and have now reached the posting part. So much for getting a run in at 8am. Oh well, it's a great pretty day to read your story, and do the former at noon'er in Texas. Thanks so much for sharing. Hope to tune into more of your talents again.
Kathy, Today I discovered this thread for the second time! What you and your crew have done is wonderful. By the way Kisammmmmm! sounds like a Superhero!!! Go girl! Dave
Kathy - You should totally bring Tuffy to Hot Rod Dirt Drags! http://hotroddirtdrags.com http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/hot-rod-dirt-drags-2015.962082/ -mike
