Hey guys, i just picked up a 65 suburban 2 door, with no papers. I want to do a few things with the chassis but want to make sure its actually a 65 chassis. Some brake conversions on speedway motors say 1963-1970. Some rear end hub kits say 1965-1969. Is there any difference in suspension between 1960-1966? If so how can i tell. I live on Vancouver Island, so i dont really want to have to sell parts if they dont bolt up.

60-62 have torsion bar front suspension. Your frame number should be on the drivers side frame rail, in front of the motor mount holes on top of the frame.

60-62 chassis and suspension is quite different, they used torsion bars up front instead of coil springs. Look for the VIN on the driver door hinge pillar, and part if it should be stamped on top of the frame, between the firewall and steering gear, as well as on top of the frame, under the driver seat area (which is kind of hard to see).
