SOLD SOLD SOLD. Thanks for all the inquiries.
This 1960 Corvette has been owned by the current owner since 1967 and has driven about 81,000 miles since new. At some point, the original 283 engine was replaced with a 1969 350/300 engine that was rebuilt about 15 years ago with a mild roller cam which gives it a powerful but not to aggressive sound. The car still retains its original, matching numbers four-speed transmission. When the engine was rebuilt, the front end, brakes, steering, transmission, etc were also rebuilt and the chassis was cleaned and painted. The car has been seasonally used on a regular basis and always maintained. It runs and drives excellent and all of its functions work. The Honduras Maroon paint is mostly original although the white coves have been repainted. The paint shows overall wear including chips, scratches, areas of touchup, etc. From 10 to 20 feet away, the paint looks great but its wear is evident up close. The interior was replaced about 15 years ago and is in very nice condition including the dashboard, etc. The black convertible top is functional and works well although the material has a tear on one side. The removable hardtop is in very good condition. The chrome and stainless are original and match the rest of the car. This car is ready to drive and enjoy-it really drives down the road nicely. It can be used as-is and has the look of a great original survivor car or could be the basis for a straight forward cosmetic restoration at a later date. Included with the sale, is a non-numbers matching, correct but unrestored, 1960 283 short block assembly. Also included is a very large folder file showing receipts and photos of the chassis rebuild, copies of past titles, books, manuals, old photos, etc. The VIN number is 00867S106045 and the car retains its original, undisturbed vin tag as well as a current and clear Michigan title. The price is an extremely reasonable 39,000.00 and it is located near Detroit, Michigan. Please call 734-730-4274 or email: [email protected] ( I rarely check pms) for more information. We are NOT interested in any trades. Thank you.
