I got a few months before I start mine, I should have my new chassis done over the winter on my Henry J. Still on the fence of keeping it small block or switching over to big block. My blower friendly 540 short block should be here in the next couple weeks so that will keep me busy in the meantime.

Bean I don't get update notifications on your thread now either. Glad you can laugh at yourself. I do that stuff all the time but usually fire up the plasma before realizing it was the left one instead of right or whatever.

Man the ride height pic looks awesome! Should make you feel good after seeing that!

 

Thanks! It's amazing to me how much difference there is in just 1" of ride height. I'm going to really play around with this stuff but I'm guessing the front will stay 14 1/2" and the back probably about 13". Going to buy new springs for the front and back. I'm really looking forward to playing around with the rear. Never done it before but I have studied up on it and eager to jump in.

So far as the notifications I unwatched then placed watch again on yours...maybe that will fix it?!

Could you just have of used spacers for the steering arms instead of grinding then out?

 

I looked at that but the mouth was too tight as well. There is still quite a bit of material left. They built it pretty strong...just ill fitting. Next I have to heat and bend both of them, but I like that kind of stuff. I also have an idea on how to strengthen it. More concerned about finding some replacement springs that won't require too much effort.

Have someone take a pic of the driver's side and measure the rocker height once you are sitting on in the seat- could be that they will match up at that point....-rick

They call him Charmin- cuz he's squeezably soft! No wait- that's me, lol... I'm actually concerned about this because my Falcon gasser is so softly sprung, i'm pretty sure that once my big butt's in the seat i'm gonna be driving with a severe list to the Port side. That's worse than a Starboard list when empty. I can just see my fatass going down the road lookin SuperComp on the drivers side and Gasser on the right! -rick

 

If it were me I would have to worry about the whole car landing on its side, I would have to center the cockpit and put a barn door on it , or just get one of them dear funny cars ,,,,,, do they still have them......

I can say that because I am a pretty good sized guy even after a Gastric Bypass surgery. I am back to working out 3 or 4 days a week and weigh 265 now.

That is a damn sight better than the 437 I weighed 21 months ago

I used to have to weigh on the scales at the truck stop.
If I wanted a picture of myself it had to be a Satellite photo.

What about using your current stock main leaf, and use speedway springs for under them...that is assuming the speedway springs are shorter.

I don't doubt that she has buddy! My wife would be in the same boat, but I think deep down they actually enjoy it. Beats living with a dullard. Been 25 years so you must be doing something right?! My wife and I have been together 14 years..2 kids and just found out we have 1 more on the way...at least I know I'm doing that right.

Thanks buddy! I have a hard time believing their mine sometimes..it's cliche but their real beauty is on the inside. I snapped that one just a few minutes ago. We are a blessed bunch and its pretty much cotton candy and unicorns over here all the time. At wife even enjoys watching me race she just doesn't like the long hours in the shop but she gets it. I am lucky guy.
