This thread reminded me of something. Why did that other blonde replace Suzanne Somers on Three's Company?

Oh...sort of like when they replaced the Duke boys on the Dukes of Hazzard? That one really threw me for a loop. Cousins my ass.

Don't get me started on James Bond!

If that truck was SO rare, why would you put the custom crap on it?

  8. Well of course it was nonsense (nonsense, noun: Subject matter, behavior, or language that is foolish or absurd.) The fact that he conned you and apparently other gullible folks into believing doesn't make it any less nonsense.
You said it yourself "it sounded too good to be true ..." you should have listened to your instincts.

As for the McCullough Supercharger, I do have a bit of knowledge there, the model that was on the F1 was made from 1937-1940 and then production stopped. In 1943 McCullough had sold the company to Borg Warner and they did not produce that supercharger, instead concentrating on applications including military tanks etc. Bob McCullough re entered the Supercharger world in 1951 with a new design that was done by one of his companies, Paxton Engineering, and marketed in 1953. Eventually the supercharger division was changed to Paxton Products
This is a very short history, but it does pretty much prove that there never would have been a supercharger option using a McCullough in 1947 ~ they weren't making superchargers at that time!

C'mon man... you could buy every '47 Ford truck ever made with 800k. You might want to see at least SOME validation of claims before you go publishing them - especially when they seem absolutely ridiculous to someone even casually familiar with collector cars. You can buy a lot of prime machinery with 800k in your wallet, stuff that would make an old hot rod Ford truck pale in comparison. :D

I know for a fact that Dick Sargent nor Dick York were options in 1947. Yes, they had been produced years before, but hadn't seen any work until way after! I usually only say "Hi" to my mailman. Better to just be cordial to those handling my mail, or at least that is my experience.

Well, how about we work a trade, I have one similar of a guy on a horse with a thriving gift shop and a great view of the Bison prairies, if you act now I will also throw in a big fellow with rather large ears sitting in a chair and the USS George Washington carrier and complete strike force.:D
I will have to clear it with my girl friend Miss Aniston first though, she likes tanning on the flight deck.

  15. I just hope your grammar, spelling, and syntax were better for your hotrodhotline articles than they are on here...

So are you looking to make enemies on here? Why the hell people do come on here and immediatley start making enemies? Damn, folks need to calm the hell down. This place is great but the FNG's are starting to get out of hand with pointless rants, and o/t bullshit. Then they get all butt hurt when they're called on it and decide they want to start a keyboard war.

Dude, seriously calm the fuck down.:D

Deal, she has a few quirks, she insists on it being dark and who the F is Brad? She keeps calling that out all night. That and Vince.

It was BS from the start and yes you said you were duped. You and anyone else who believed the crap should be embarassed as hell.

A real auto journalist would never have written a story like that.

You finding a new career is likely the best advice to come from this thread.

I do not have a career, i am retired and have been for a while. I am not nor ever have been a journalist. I simply attend cruise nites & winter indoor shows in my area and take pictures of those events and submit them to HRHL for their event coverage which is viewed by people worldwide. Understand ????

Like i said before in a prior post, go ahead and try contacting the henry ford museum and get a real live talking person of importance to verify the storys information. Go ahead and be someone of importance and report back in this thread of your findings.

I am sure everybody here is waiting for you to report or anyone else for that matter.

    have a nice day..............mike
