I've been eyeballing a tractor paint enamel, I would love to use.
It's a Fordson blue, and looks a little more shiney, but not deep shiney

If you use a thick layer of shop primer, re spray it three times, and grind in between and with 200-500-600-800grit and give it a last shot that's mixed 1:4 with a clear. Some brand needs to have hardner in the clear, before mixing.

That would give a coat of paint that's cheap, doable, DYI material and can look like a old paint job. But not something that set you hard back, or you have to scared sh1tless of leaving in a parking lot.

this might a stupid question , but how to start the engine on 30 coupe?
also there is no accelerator pedal , how can i accelerate ?

  4. To start a stock 4 banger there is a small button you press with your foot on the toe board, the ignition switch just sends power to the ignition coil. Theres a pair of levers on the steering column, one is a throttle lock (think early cruise control) and the other is for ignition advance and retard, I think you want to set that lever somewhere in the middle, I can't remember as I've only started a stock Model A once and that was a while ago. Sounds like the throttle linkage is missing but theres a small pedal for that to the right of the brake pedal towards the center of the toe board.

  5. I've never owned or driven a model A so can't help from experience, but this video might help. It doesn't get into the starting sequence until a couple of minutes in…

The blue you painted your coupe looks great :)

I have no idea what went wrong.
The problem is that I was going to toss this engine after passing the DMV inspection.
No I have to repair it first .that's few $$$ down the drain.

stock heads are short money- they're just heavy ( to mail). maybe that's all you need? start with the simple (cheap fix) stuff. If you're going to shit-can the banger anyway, patch it together enough to get it on the road and kiss it goodbye. If you need a gas pedal set-up, post it - they're cheap AND light( and I have a spare) Good luck with it

Looks great. Just love those 289's. Was just wondering why you have a clutch pedal if you're using an automatic tranny ? Frame looks really good. It's really coming together. Keep it commin'

Looking good. I don't know about that air cleaner though....But you need Residual Pressure Valves in your brake line set-ups while it's easy to get to, you should put a brake light pressure switch in line as well.

Looking good. Are you using a hydraulic clutch ? I want to do a manual on mine, but I have not experience with a hydraulic clutch. Great progress, keep it up. .
