Its kinda a big wheel. Everyone gets a turn. It was heavily customized for a while, then Billet everything, Then Boydster types, Now traditional styling. Don't get too puffed up. It'll move on to something else soon enough.

It seems like about a seven year cycle. My take on it is: build what you love,be if it falls out of favor who cares? It will be hot again...

Can't pass up this opportunity to congratulate you and Darryl, Terri. So cool, all those road miles before the judging, just such a milestone. Kudos!

2016 was the year I got to check the GNRS off my Bucket List, so many great cars to look at, reminded me of the indoor shows my Dad took me to in the 1960's. Bob

Regardless of what's popular, build YOUR car.I've had people say"I've loved your car for years" when I know GD well that they like it now because it is "in".

They weren't all of the V-8 variety. We snuck one V-12 in there.
    Nice write-up.

That was a great piece of writing with photos to match. It's great to see a car that actually earned it's street creds before being entered win the big trophy too. Quite and happily unexpected as one always thinks that it has to be a totally fresh car that has only run in and out of the confines of an enclosed trailer that wins.
