Long distance runner.
The 1955 Bosley. Built by Richard Bosley of Mentor, Ohio. This sports car was really a classic hot rod; built by Mr. Bosley in his garage. The chassis was Ford and Mercury and power was supplied by a Chrysler Hemi with two fours. It had a 55 gallon fuel tank which Mr. Bosley felt would minimize fuel stops as he drove from Ohio to Sebring Florida. The intention of that fuel tank was also to keep him on the track as he competed in the annual Sebring 12 hour endurance race. AMAZING! I drool when I see the real car.

Two more from the files of Alex Tremulis. Both are over 75 years old!!!
The first from February 1936 is a rear-engined bubble-top that he used as inspiration for the Tucker '48 that he would design over a decade later. The second, from about the same time, would foretell his thoughts (with the engine moved up front) for his 1941 Briggs/Chrysler Thunderbolt that would wow the crowds just a few years later... ![]()

![]() Only a few new things. I suppose the 'big' news is the my Sofa Sized Sins of Steel 2012 2 color silkscreen. Only 50 produced, hand pulled and I came home from the show with a few left. All signed and numbered. 25" tall by 39" wide! They are HUGE! Grab 'em while I got 'em! ![]() Speaking of John, I have a few sets of Torque Fest posters left as well. All signed and ready to go. These sell out year after year and I often am asked for previous years posters. They just don't get reprinted. Just posted up for sale this week. Grab 'em! For those who dig the Carb lamps, This guy is getting well traveled now so it's time to find him a home! What an incredible show folks!
Everybody is knocking it out of the park! Just a fast sketch from me this week - its been a while since I was on here, I need to get back on the stick... This is inspired from a pic that Design 165 sent me for another reason.. I thought, hmmmmm if I had a 56 Lincoln sitting out back.... next to a 49 Ford.... and they were both rough enough for it not to matter.... ** Hence ** Lincoln 49er

Another old one I found in a sketch book.
This is from around '99-2000 (I know this because most of the other sketches are for completed paintings and my wedding invitation!) |

The selective focus effect is interesting, makes the cars almost seem like model cars. Trade secret? Gary

Good eye!
Here's a "Terra Cobra" from an unknown artist. Geoff Hacker (Forgotten Fiberglass) and Bob Cunningham (Orphaned Cars) are both trying to determine the artist. I'm fairly sure it wasn't Tremulis, but the similarities are amazing... ...and THANKS to all who still love the vintage renderings! ![]()

Wish I had some new artwork to contribute this week but other work has cut into my artistic time. Lots of great artwork again this week as expected. Here is something old from me. Hope that's OK.
![]() Jen your striping always blows me away. Johnny J your work has come so far, very cool image. Corvette Bob- love the drive in with the roadster. 1 shot that one on the Moon disc looks great. I started one something like that on a disc but still have not finished it. Gotta get back to it. ToddJ that gumball machine looks great. Always enjoy the old vintage artwork. Everyone else is doing a great job also. It's hard to just pick out a few. |

Blimey - it's a jolly high standard this week - so much amazing stuff and I didn't have any proper art this week so I did this quick doodle on the iPad...
![]() I wanted to post this time-lapse movie of it being drawn but I'm not sure that's possible so here's the link... http://www.flickr.com/photos/stefanmarjoram/7166697367/ Last edited by smarjoram; 06-08-2012 at 12:22 PM. |

You might want to dress those top chop welds or the sea air is going to reek havock on them. Love the pic!

1) duplicate the image so now you have two layers (same image) 2) put a gaussian blur on the bottom (around 5) 3) With an eraser on the top layer and erase away the background you want out of focus (you can also use a layer mask)

Thank you. The engine is an improve but the basic set up is the same as the one below, from another drawing. It is, fictitiously, a 239 8Ba Flathead with an So.Co.T. Supercharger on a riser manifold and being forced air through a set
of 4 baby Stroms hooked to a twin pack of custom fabricated dual intake tubes. Oops, this ones a Pontiac...

Hey guys, great show! I can't show what I've been working on, but I have an old one and a tribute tee design for my brother-in-law. He lost his battle with Cancer a month ago. He was an in-law by marraige, but a brother by choice! He's sorely missed!
I used a Tramps design pinstripe for the back ground. ![]() ..and this is an old one that Tramp and I drew this year at the Milwaukee World of Wheels. Sharpie on gesso'd masonite.

One of your coolest ever, Bob - love the water painted look. Mind blowing look cixpack! Stunning Ken! (So are all the rest) QUOTE=gyronaut;7848169]Two more from the files of Alex Tremulis. ![]() [/QUOTE]Very creative! Hope I'm not to late to post. Every high school parking lot had a tri-five, mine included, back in the day. It was a good time to be a kid.

This is one for the 'Burg (military hotwheel), but I forgot my password and somehow can't reset - blame it on my forgetfulness, old man syndrome. I call this "Killer Dodo", a Doolittle raid on Honda Civics. Not done yet, but what the heck.
