![]() Scratchboard: "Apache Attack" I had this idea while crossing the great wide open back and forth from the recent LSRU. It's a small 8x10 study getting ready for a larger scratch attempt. So bitchin' jdustu. Your work is getting better all the time. |

Love Friday Art Shows.
My first submission. A lid I did a few years back. The guy was heavily into fishing, and wanted flames. It was a rubberized finish, very stubborn to stripe on.

Blackie, that is just a wonderful piece...the concept, the design and the final presentation are just fantastic. I just might have to buy an issue of street rodder, something I havent done in a very long time. Top notch work.

Man, A lot of great stuff this week! All I have is some progress photos of the "Sparky" knob we are doing for Doc. A little difficult to machine a spark plug bottom on the lathe when it has to be abstract, distorted & twisted, so it has to be carved. Wish we had more done........

Nice stuff yet again this week!
I'm just sharing a couple older things this week... Here's a rendering I did of Bob Stiegemeier's car. I designed the logo for the door as well as the other elements. Can't remember who he had paint the final logos on the car but the guy did a fantastic job matching my original artwork... ![]() And here are some shots of the car after it was finished... ![]() ![]() And here's a newer shot of the car. He's changed wheels/tires a few times now... And this is the ceiling fan in my office. I taped it off and painted it myself with Krylon and pinstriped it with blue 3M vinyl striping tape. ![]() Hope you all enjoy. |

Eric (Blackie) that rendering is amazing! Johnny, the Buick is your best work! Bo, love it. Dan, great shots, Bob too. Jason, I love the coupe. Jen, great work... LynchMob, I'm with Mr. Moore! TomMoore, the graphics on that coupe seal the deal!!! Spoggie, ripping good stuff! I hope to post something soon.

I was inspired by David Lozeau for the skull design (sort of borrowed it from him but modified it to suit my needs) I ride a Yamaha V Star and wanted a shirt when I ride so I had the design printed on the back of a long sleeve shirt I was impressed on how it came out

Great inspiration on here again. I was staring at Mr. Black's art in Street Rodder earlier this morning. Pretty slick piece.
I did a couple of shirt designs for this weekend's show, this one's a little more H.A.M.B. friendly. (I have no idea what color shirt's this is printed on).

Killer show everyone. I made a drawing of a modified GoJak wheel dolly. 2 styles of wishbones, dropped axle, ripple tubing, hurst'y style shifter and what not. I went to the GoJak factory again in CT., and gave them these drawings. Sorry, off topic but its all I got.
I also draw'd a picture for the HAMB VW social group crowd to try and figure out. |

I am by no means a photographer, but I thought this photo I took turned out pretty cool.

Practice setup for a scene in an upcoming documetary on the Gyronaut, Alex Tremulis' "Kaiser 105", drawn 60 years ago. It's all Alex's original equipment and paint...

Wow there's a ton of amazing work this week, gents.
A buddy of mine owns a bar and brews some great beers. I whipped up a draft tap handle for his "Skull Crusher Nut Brown Ale". The actual carved hand/skull is from Jimmy Flintstone, I just painted it, and made the rest. First time trying to etch copper, turned out pretty good... ![]() ![]() ![]() On the back it says "Shut Up & Drink Your DAMN Beer!"

![]() 3Sheets aka Jason Janes contributed this for the art auction. We will be setting up an art auction here on the HAMB as well as on FB. The Rat Fink is a one off piece of art that is metal - stands 2 feet tall and 18 inches from toe to toe. Thanks for all the hard work on this 3Sheets! The detail up close is just amazing - we will post more pix soon.

Jeff ... You know you bad! Bernie, love 'em... I was hoping to finish this piece today but I'll leave you with a couple hints for now. I should be done tomorrow. Also, I appreciate the patience of many who support my work and hope to see some progress on my web sight very soon. Others I've been in contact with, I am sharpening pencils and readying the ink as well as the digital hardware... Dreamer is a'comin' along... ![]()

More car show sketches,
![]() ![]() The '36 is actually owned by Stanley Wanlass, (look him up, very cool automotive sculptures) one of my favorite artists, it was a thrill to be able to sketch his car at a show. David |

There's too much awesome on here, thanks everyone for making my Friday better. I'm inspired, hoping to feel up to a 8 hour round trip tomorrow to a show to see if I can't be better than I was last weekend, my continual goal. Here's a re-edit of our own yblock292's 40 Ford Coupe. I know I've shot a ton of Jack's stuff but he has great cars that photograph well. Next week I will post something that someone else owns.
![]() Thanks again for adding some inspiration to my day folks, there's too many of you to list!

O.K; Keep 'em coming..
Fresh junk. I'm into rebuilding my old FJ Holden car. More post-war aussies were concieved in these cars than any other! So I just threw this red one together for kicks. There must have been hundreds of hotted- up red FJ's built. I'm including the yellow one here also- this is the build concept for my car.

Gotta show the mill. Original 138 cu. in. inline 6, designed in GM Detroit in '38.
These little buggers rev hard! Mine has period hop- ups. I'd like a Vertex mag for it- it blew dizzys going 16.50 @ 79mph. Car wails away to 105 mph. There was a lot of hop- up aftermarket gear made for these babies.

I use a sharpie and a roll of toilet paper. Great inspiring stuff on here this week! Thanks for the kind words everybody, glad you like it. I posted on another thread ( http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=699593 ) about the article in Street Rodder, which is the reason the more detailed version was done. If you like the Street Rodder "Quick on the Draw" article let the folks at SR know that it should stay! |
