Tucson May 5th 50th anniv "Reunion" SIR

Saw an ad for this in the roddin paper today. Says they are going to have nitro cars and a match race as well. I am planning to attend.
Post more info as we get it. Not sure if it is a day event or evening, ad did not say.

 

Thats my "Birthday" week end, headed down that way. Have other "Retiree" Friends down there too!!

Cinco de Mayo is my birthday....and I used to race at the old dragstrip 30+ years ago. I'd sure like to bring my truck but I need to do a bunch of work to put it back on the road.

 

I just got off the phone with one of the promotors. The Reunion will be a day time event, gates will open at 9am.

Looking forward to it.

Well, We will celebrate my birthday till midnight and then start on yours!!! LOL I'll be 72, how about you???

 

I see no mention of a swap meet there.
Not sure why, it's a good idea.

 

I'll be there. Might even run the truck if they let me.

 

Turn out was good with some really cool cars including the green monster out from hibernation and all restored. The green monster raced the speed sport car half was down it was cool.

Yep..got some sun..and fun..

The Speed sport was at my neighbors home getting freshen for the races..
Looks great ..sounds awesome..ran fine..and the shade was great !
