a while ago I bought a 49 merc the chop was oxy acct hammer welded and most of the rust repair was done, the fellow that did this was a good craftsman but he was ill and the project sat in the same spot for the 17 years since I first saw the car. Sadly he passed away a month after he sold it to me.

I like it!!! Looks like a very good start. What grill are you planning on using? I like the chop. How many inches is it chopped? Keep us posted on the progress.

Looks good and the way you are going, it will be ready for next summer. More room than the T-roadster Jack.

I redrilled the rotors to 5on5 and will install a 57 merc 9" which is the right width and will also have the 5on5 pattern so I can run 52 caddy rims and sombreros

  14. Looks great. How much of a chop, 3 inches?

I love the steering wheel though for me I would flip it 180 degrees. Xmas is coming up so send it to me.

I love the subtle chop. You can tell the previous owner was very skilled.

    nailhead is a 65 425, chop is 2 3/4"

  19. The great thing about a subtle chop.....the quarter window doesn't look so small with a straight b-pilar. More isn't necessarily better.
