Default Ford F1 bed dimensions

Hey

I was wondering if anyone here would have the measurement for a 51 ford F1 bed. All the measurements of the entire bed, Like plans if you were going to build your own?

I recently bought just a bed with a semi decent set of original fenders for 200 dollars. However, the bed has no tailgate mounts and the rolled edge along the the top of the bed rail is missing and looks like it never was there. The bed appears to be as old as the fenders, but I'm wondering if it was made by someone back in the day and not original.

I'd like the measurements to see if it's the correct size to help me determine if it is worth fixing and using.

Thanks for your help
Shane

It would be easier to tell if you'd post pictures of the bed.

48-52 used 2 different bed styles

The one shown above is 1948-mid 1950
it has the curved bottom stake pockets
embossed bedsides

mid 1950 to 1952 are like shown below
square bottom stake pockets
flat panel bedsides

The tailgate hardware is also different between the 2 styles

no measurements but a good view:

I don't have any pictures at the moment, I will try to get some this weekend. It is the flat sided bed as posted in the above picture.
