Hey - if there are any guys that live out in Iowa or western IL and wanna come over to the Pre Reg party we are having in conjunction with the Quad City Hot Rod show - please let me know!

The Hot Rod show is small - but in the Quad Cities - what else are you doing that weekend?
Anyway - in an attempt to get some fresh faces through the door - they have let Vintage Torque have the back hall.

So we will be having our own little party in the back there - so if anyone wants to bring any cars/bikes in - please email me and let me know!
    [email protected]

We will be showing vintage drag racing on the big screen there all weekend and have several different monitors set up around the perimeter of the hall so that people can see the different stuff we have going on. Some will be playing old movies, others Vintage Torque clips, and others scenes from Torque Fest 2010.
    Bands will be

    Fri night:
    The Magnetos
    Brains! Brains! Brains!

    Sat night
    The One Night Standards
    Rumble Seat Riot

cmon out - have a good time - mingle

we are WANTING a nice custom / mild custom to be in the room with my '35 and some other local guys cars........
    [email protected]

Here is the basic info for the show itself

I'll be there but it will probably be too cold to drive the convertible since I don't have a top (yet)! I'll see if I can get some more guys from the Cedar Rapids area to go.

cmon people - what else are you doing in the middle of the winter - you may as well come out and have some fun and look at some good old drag racing and listen to some good music -

    AND

Whitey Morgan is playing at the RIBCO (about 4 minutes down the street) on Friday night

    so

come to the show after work - then close down the car show and we can all go over to see Whitey bring some good old honky tonk to the Quad Cities!

YES - we will have registration for Torque Fest at the Pre Party.

We will also have the entry tickets for the Friday night Drive In Theater double feature available as well.

Torque Fest Pre Entry guarantees you a spot at the after party at the drive in on Sat night. You also get a DVD when it comes out!
    What a deal..............
the DVDs sells for $15 + $3 shipping

    so

you can look at it like you are getting a free dvd by pre registering - better than getting that 54th black shirt that you will only wear 2 times a year!

Hey all you people in the region - we are gonna start invading the shiny side of the south hall now!
We have just added a car that some of ya'll have seen on a certain show on History Channel.

I gotta go pick it up - and there will be a really nice '31 with flathead there as well now!

    Nice!

What else are you doing this weekend?
    come on out..........

I also found a link to where Whitey Morgan will be playing after the car shoe on Friday:
    http://ribco.com/index.aspx

We are think of coming Friday night for the pre party and then Whitey Morgan @ RIBCO.
It will be a late night for sure.

    I can't wait.
