I picked up an Edmunds 2x1 intake manifold a little while ago,
but it had no fuel lines or linkage..
last weekend I put togethr the fuel lines,
and today I put together the linkage..

I was loooking for bronze for the arms,
but had to settle for brass

bought a piece of bar stock
and ripped it on the little table saw

and chopped it into three pieces

drilled it first with a pilot bit
followed by a 5/16" bit for the shaft
then rolled it on it's side and drilled it with the correct size bit for the 10-32 thread screws I planned to use
followed that by a 3/16" bit drilled to half the depth so the screw will only grab the bottom half of the clamp
the oversize hole also helps to square the tap,
ran the tap through the lower half
and finaly used a hack saw to split the clamp end

    drilled the other end,
put the piece in the vice and used the 4" grinder to remove the bulk of the waste,
and hit it with a few different files to get close to where I was going
then repete for the second carburetor arm

the third arm needs to be a bit longer
the carbs need about an 1-1/4" swing
and the rod from the bellcrank moves about an 1-1/2"
so I'm making the center to center of the holes in the carb rods 2-3/4"
and the rod from the bellcrank gets 3-1/4" center to center
when I was ok with the way they looked
they all got a quick polish on the buffing wheel

checked the fit and action on the bench,
    checked again on the car.
the rod up from the bellcrank needs to be rebent to clear the Fenton headers
    and shortend 2-3/8"
and finaly it can all go together in the the car for another check

    all looks good

now I just need to decide on where to put the oil filter,
    have the exhaust plumbed

    and drive it!

Ya, great work, and great quality of work, those can be dificult make work correct and smooth. I have used the BXOV-2,s, they are alot better than a stock GM carb.

Great work. I like the clean and functional look.

Will you connect coolant hoses for intake heating?

Easy just grab a piece of stock and cut away everything that isn't needed to use as a piece of linkage.......... No really great looking work. Great feeling pushing on files and see something you want coming out of a piece of metal.
