Going to start beating this body into submission late tonight. Make everything square. Thinking some good measurements taken across the B pillars might be a good start?

Top, Middle, Lower middle, and bottom of pillars plus a diagonal from top of driver to bottom of passenger? I'll use any other measurement you care to throw in too. Number and the points measured from should cover it I'd think. Diagonal of door opening maybe?

  2. I have a real nice body in the garage right now. When I get home I will take some measurements for ya. 1930 is the body.

I've got a stock driving Late 31 coupe. I can do the same when I get home tonight. Might be late, so someone may beat me to it.

Very good stuff. That will get the door openings square and give good ideas on how to replace certain panels...I'd still like to have at least two measurements across the body from pillar to pillar at a common point. But I could fake that if I have to.

Damn...I want to start squaring things up tonight. Still looking for a couple of measurements from pillar to pillar.

I'll check back in three hours when I get home,

somebody should have it for you by then but if not, I'd be happy to try.

Vince did a nice job with the info on that site... I contacted him a couple years back when I started diving into the body of my coupe. He took those reference pictures for me, so I could get everything squared up properly. The little rough sketch at the top is mine ( I didn't know it was posted ). If it helps anyone out there, I'm glad to see it used as a reference... Restorers are great sources of info... I found him on the Model A Restorers Club site. If you search out a restorer as a reference, don't fill 'em in on the fact that you're slicing and dicing the hell out of your car, as they will most likely not correspond with you.

Top red dot from one pillar to another. Bottom red dot from one pillar to another. And either of the middle dots from one pillar to another. Just let me know which middle dot you used. That's all I need. Thanks in advance to anyone who can do this.

sorry about the dark crappy pictures,

this body is square, straight and uncut though so the measurements should be good.

any one know if a 31 vicky body would be the same given the doors are longer , if not is anyone willing to measure their 31 vicky for me , been looking a long time with no luck . I have no floor or roof so pretty tough to start without them .
