Got my new intake in this week.
Can't wait to set it on top of the engine I haven't got yet.
Kind of got the horse in front of the cart but it's mighty pretty
to look at until it finds a permanent home.
    What do ya think
Didn't want a lot of bling so everything has a dull satin finish.

WOW! that is the best looking set up I've seen! Great job!

My wife digs it too. A tip though... she said she would kill me if I set that on those counter tops without something underneath. :)

Don, don't forget to add the fuel regulator I included in the box. I mentioned that because we covered everything BUT that. Set it at 2.5 PSI and watch for seep out the throttle shaft of the primary, if none, buddy you're good to go. If it does back it off .5 at a time until it's dry. Don't be polishing that aluminum now, it took lots of time to "de-shine" it.

    Thanks for the nice comments.
I actually got caught with it on the counter top before I was done with the pics but was very careful about sliding it around.
None the less I wanted to store it on the coffee table until I get the engine, kind of like a piece of art, but that didn't work out to good so now it is back in the shop.
Dick I will be sure to put the regulator on it when it gets mounted just didn't get it in the picture.
    Cactus the intake is powdercoated.
The best thing about letting Dick build your piece is that each one is not copied off another and they are all custom done.
You get it just like you want it.

Looks good, thought I would share mine. Got it Saturday. Notice it is on the kitchen table with much dismay. But it is going on her tudor so I guess she will let it fly for now, Joe

    WOW looks killer A Rodder.
I see you were smarter than me and put something underneath it to take the pics.
When I got mine I was so excited that I wasn't even thinking about the counter top.

Do you guys know what to do with getting vacuum for the dizzy and modulator. The x1 has no ports, only on the carbs, I don't really wanna tap it.

You don't have much alternative. You can drill and tap an 1/8" NPT in the rear towards the bottom and will not be very visible as the dizzy wires will detract from seeing it. Just add a 3/16" tee branch fitting and your "good to go".

On the x1 since it is cross ram, do you think I shoud tap both "logs" at the rear, then run them together to balance it out, and then have 2 ports off of that line?

Since I am carb ignorant could someone explain to me what x1 is?
I am assuming that is a name for a cross ram intake.
