Cool, I have family in Bartlesville. I met hotroddave once when I was up there.

Being that last year was the first time for this event, it was a good turnout. This years promises to be even better.

Haha, cool. My little nephew is bitten by the bug. He remembers your car and when I was up to visit last month he was asking how I was coming along with mine. He described what sounded like an Edsel he saw around town and some other custom. I want to try and make it to the Straycats500 or whatever its called and take him to it.

I won't have a car with me, but I'll have a green minibike

Well, the unless happened, my uncle passed away Friday morning and my mother in law passed away this morning. I will be headed to Ohio to join my wife tomorrow or the next day and wont be able to attend the "Thaw" Saturday.
I need someone that can take over my duties classifying cars for the race. If there is anyone out there that can attend and sacrifice a few hours of their time looking a some cool cars and telling the driver what class they are going to run please contact me.

Doc
Thanks Doc. I am doing ok but my wife is taking it pretty hard, although she seems to be doing better now that she is in Ohio and has something to do other than wait.
Daniel (TheShocker) says he will be happy to take over my responsibilities classifying the cars. It would be great if anyone would like to help him out. Classifying cars should be a great time, after all, it is several hours of looking at cool cars up close and talking to their owners.
If anyone is interested in helping please pm me.
Thank
Wesley

Remember that I am not above taking bribes to get into the class that you want and I dont expect that Daniel would be any different.

You gunna make a pass or two in your truck Ken ? I would like to make a pass in my 56 ,but its a wheel hopping bitch ,as i have no traction bars ,a 4 spd ,3 inch lowering blocks and skinny ass tires.I think i will just stick to the classification thing for Wesley this time and learn how to bench race .Its a whole lot easier on parts anyway, and after what happened to me last year .It will be nice to relax on Sunday ,instead of trying to fix my car so i can get back to work on Monday .See you guys this weekend ...

No more Falcon .I traded it off last fall .All i have now is this money pit 56 Chevy .I am wearing my ass out doing body work on it so i can get it repainted .I took this week off work so that i can make some progress on it and have this coming weekend off for the event. It will proly still look like hammered crap on Saturday (with the primer spots all over it and all the chrome removed),but its my hammered crap.My old Falcon would have eaten its lunch on the track ...

We had a blast last year! Brought our car for the "Show & Shine", although I did not shine too much. We've got a couple of extra buddies making the trip this year. The weather forecast looks to be a little better this year, so it should be even better, if that's possible.

$10 at the gate, and $10 if ya wanna show the car, on the pit side. Free parking on the spectator side.

Haha....Thanks Big Tony. The "Show & Shine" comment was kinda meant as a joke. When I need a good show and shine I can just run down to my local Sonic.
