Car Craft Dream Rod progress pics

    DC8A4418-DE59-4751-9402-904010B69172.jpeg 6D760298-A95D-48AB-8F9B-4B127D5C9827.jpeg BD151925-88B1-4DEF-8F60-08333DF24D84.jpeg Took the body back off the frame, finished some welding and painted gold metal flake like it was originally. also chromed the front control arms, steering linkage and backing plates. The frame is from a 1952 Jowett Jupiter with a vw front suspension.

    The Dream Rod is my favorite show car of all time. I built the model when it was introduced when I was around 11. I recently acquired another unbuilt kit and just yesterday got a spares kit. I also have the original Hot Rod Magazines containing both the concept and completed car as well as a color post card of it. I was so surprised to see it again being restored. I didn't care for the Tiger Shark Mod. Who would do that to a Cushenberry original? What a shame. I commend you on the project and the quality of your work. I hope I can see it someday. I love that car! Thanks for the photos and please keep us updated.
