  14. Bob, I've got to come see those bikes. I'm rebuilding an old 50's Firestone. Here's one I picked up for $10 at Goodwill. Got it for the chrome seat, plugged it in and it works like new.

Grey hammertone paint, gold pinstriping, cast iron, early 50's Exercycle.

  18. this is a pretty crappy pic of a bunch of us heading out for a cruise. I am on my cutom blue girls frame in the front left of the picture...not a real good shot of the bike, but it has a low cut down white vinyl banana seat, flame lick tank, and springer front forks..

This is a norwegian 1955 Tempo moped I put together. The Sachs 49cc motor is Hot Rodded a bit.Its kinda scary ride at 50mph though. Still missing a WW rear tire.

  24. Rev, I bugged the shit outta my parents for a Chopper like that. Got a lime green CCM Mustang instead, and I was cool with that. A couple of buddies got Choppers. What kind of frame is on that yellow one? Pretty whacky.

Dyno cruiser question... can you actually ride one? I'm 6'3" and ride all over, I've been considering a Dyno-style frame but I don't know if is too much form not enough function. Anyone?

Big A...you talkin' about a Dyno Roadster? Dude, I'm 6'2" and that thing is like riding a Lazy Boy....except on long rides your nuts go numb and it burns when you pee (oh wait...it burned before I got the bike...oh well). [IMG]

I love it! I'm ridin' the lowrider more these days though. It's funny to watch peoples faces when a big tattooed guy on a lowrider bike comes cruisin' through the middle class ghet-to...ha ha!

FYI on riding the Dyno Roadsters... HAMBer 'DesignIt' and his wife have both ridden Roadsters on 2 or 3 of the Houston-to-Austin MS150 rides (190 hilly miles in 2 days). His is a single-speed and hers is a 7-speed Nexus. He has close to 3K miles on his!

    They are very ridable... [IMG]

Man, I came so close to buying a Dyno Roadster...but something is up with them and for some reason the shop I was dealing with was having trouble getting bikes from them.

I also looked at Phat Bikes...but I ended up getting an Electa Rat Fink to ride to my job instead....only problem is my wife informed me that I have to take my kid to school in the fall every morning and now I can't ride my dang bike!!!

Sell the kid buy a car? NAH!
