North GA crew winter get togethers...?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Stevie G, Nov 4, 2007.

  1. We had the final swap of this year.
Since Brad is taking Dec, Jan, and Feb off, how would you guys feel about meeting at someones shop once a month?
We might actually get something done on a car, you never know.
I'm already looking forward to March.

  2. StevieG,

Sounds great- I've been hoping to meet more locals anyway!

I will be gone during X-mas weekend, but I'll be back x-mas day. I have to work the rest of the week.

  7. I was thinking something before Christmas for December.
I'm running loads between NY and FL during the holidays (Lets me run the kids from PA to FL to see their Dad), then starting school in January.
RaceDude is coming up again sometime in December.
Might be as good an excuse as we get.

Ive been thinking about having a get together sometime around then, kind of a 'Polar Bear Run'. Not a big thing, just something small, a reason to drink beer around a fire (if the county or state will let us). We need to make this happen. It's a long time till season opener in March.

I'm a fan of shooting the shit at Taco Mac.

  11. I'm game for a garage-crawl or just hangin' out at a good BBQ joint or a Taco-Mac.
How about the 2nd Saturday in Dec. ?

Sounds great to me! That's only 15 miles from my house. :)

  16. Thats close for me also. So I'm all for it.
Or...option #2...I was talking with Dave (dvanecek) this morning and we had the idea of a weekly or bi-weekly breakfast meeting, then everyone could hang out for a while, then either go their seperate ways or go to someones house for thrashing/beer drinking, or even a cruise or ride somewhere.
    Whats everyone think?

That night the Psycho Devilles, Nekromantix, Choptops, and Koffin Kats are at the Masquerade if any of y'all want to go. If you do, get with Walt about tickets.

You've never seen Dave...Otherwise, you wouldn't be talking about eating contests. Drinking contests, either.

Are you inplying that I'm a bit big boned?

    I only weigh 325 lbs.

I wonder what pancakes and Captain Morgan would taste like?

I am all about the weekly or bi monthly breaksfast. I'm up for going anywhere, but there is a cool little place called country skillet in a strip mall with LOTS of parking in Roswell 2 miles from 400. I figure it is pretty central for people in marrietta, cumming, buford, etc. Plus unlike a wafflehouse they have parking for lots of cars and can put tables together to seat 10 15 people.

    wha ch'all think?

The show sat night sounds good for me.

I'm not implying a thing...I'm coming right out and saying it.

I wonder if you could mix Captain Morgan and syrup? I'd pay to see that at a breakfast place.

  26. Sorry for not replying earlier... I can't open this post at school- something about a language issue???
I've got a meeting until 4 in Athens, and have the boys with me after that, but might be able to stop in... where is it you're talking about?

Maybe we should get Steve G to make this thread a poll and we can vote on a place. Or we could just make a separate one.

Why do we have to pick just one? Lets make a schedule we can all try to make and just have a different meeting place every weekend. Just a thought.
