Zach, aka kustomkoupe asked about pedals the other day in this post. I said I would take some pictures of my work in progress.

Here goes. I started with two incomplete sets of 36 pedals, one from Crestliner and the other from porkshop. After mocking them up, I found that I needed to trim the back off of the mounting bracket to get the pedals back far enough in the frame. I cut the upper bracket off like I have marked on the lower...

I then had to make a bracket to mount this to my homemade K-member. The Ford bracket sits on a compound angle, so it took some thinking to come up with this.

Here is the pedal assy attached to the master cyl bracket. You can see that the brake rod and master cyl are not in line. The 36 pedals are setup for mechanical brakes, so the link attaches to the top. I could have moved it to the bottom, but that would have given me two problems. First, the MC would have been too close to the transmission and second it would have hung below the frame. To get around that I took dandanno's idea of using a bellcrank. I have not got that part completed yet, but I think you can get the idea from the pictures.

Here is a side shot. You can see the two links that will be connected with the bellcrank. I will also box the sides of the MC bracket for a liitle more strength.

I was getting to that. [IMG]

I have a homemade crossmember, so it does not have the leg.

Here is the assy in the chassis.

One more thing. Zach asked about toeboard angle. The nearest I could mease on my 32 (with the firewall level on the floor) was 42 degrees.

    Hope this helps.

Is there any bushing on the pivot point, being the vertical piece since added between the two heim joints? Pardon the grammar.

Yes, I used a pair of flanged bronze bushings pressed in from top and bottom...then added a grease zerk to keep it lubed.

    Thanks,

    Are the bellcrank arms 1:1?

Not quite. To get full throw on the M/C, I had to make the lower arm slightly longer. They are like 1-1/2" and 1-3/4" center to center.
