After giving this much thought, I decided on this mode of lifting rather than the "manly way". Man this thing was heavy. This worked out well. I had a couple of buddies to lift and stabilize while I rolled the chassis out and the body dolly in. Just in case someone was pondering if this would work. It did, quite well actually.
Looks great Chris, I didn't realize you were taking the Chevy this far down. I've used an engine hoist for that too, all my friends are too old for heavy lifting.
Damn you Chris and your subject titles Now when I wanna search the HAMB for nudies, I'll get this thread! Hahaha! I used a similar method to remove a truck cab once. I was alone so even though the cab was not as heavy as your car, it was not possible without help. Ingenuity, they say is the motherhood of invention!
Looks great. I almost bought one of those years ago when I found the panel. The beast stole my heart away from the car...
It's my kid's 50 now. He has decided he would rather have a sled than any Honda Civic. There is hope. Beatnik, I have never been able to just stop and leave well enough alone.
Oh, and the reason it is so tall is so that the kid can sandblast the bottom side without it coming back full blast at him.
Somehow I knew this was a trick, but I still got sucked in by the title! Refreshing to see there's at least one kid around that likes the good stuff.
Hey Dave, you think your dad would have any use for the rear end? He has the motor and tranny already....he could collect the whole set.
Great title, damn no nekid pics but at least a fleetline! Glad to hear your kid wants a sled instead of a civic. Good luck on the project.
