Anyone running an Ardun Flathead here??

Id like to know what your running for a camshaft and even more specifically, have you messed around with changing out the cam to go bigger so to speak.

    Thanks.

Give the Ferguson's a call. They're pushing over 300 in their liner with an ardun flathead

Go to www.ardun.com. Shows the repro Ardun heads, etc., that Don Ferguson is producing. I bought quite a few parts from him for my Ardun. I'll have to do some digging in my records to see what cam was used -- it's an Isky, but I don't remember the specs.

I don't have an Ardun. If I did, I'd run the baddest MF'n street can I could possibly (no, the baddest MF'n cam Jay Leno) could get. Zora made these for more power and reliability. Why not drive it?

I have an ARDUN in a '32 Roadster , motor built by Cotton Werksman . He uses a cam from Howard's Racing Cams thats ground to his specs . Seems to be a good cam thats user friendly , nice idle and good low end for the street..............Z

Anyone else have any more input on this subject? I've got a 32-34 ford steel cam that I'm going to have reground but I'm interested in what your real-world cam specs are...?

I ran a Herbert roller in mine (see avatar), don't remember the duration or overlap, but it was well engineered (plates that welded inside the block to keep the rollers from turning was the only construction challenge)...I think that Chet Herbert is still in business but not sure they would grind an Ardun cam...but you could check.

Crower offers roller cams & lifters. Essentially a bearing on the lifter (comes w/ a drill jig to make it happen) guides it & keeps it in line! I think that's the route I'd take.
