    Sorry for the slow reply
    Ground off the old paint, and then using a 3" flap disc i did the flames. Then you put the candy and clear over it as you normally would.

    Supposedly doing it on aluminium makes the effect better(which the hood that i did is) but i haven't seen one over plain metal so i don't really know.

  4. Agree 100%

    More on this car please!!

  5. Some one complimented my page 1 show entry. I just browsed & could not see their comment (erased?). Maybe they don't like it now!;) Anyway, humble thanks (whoever you are):eek:. Something was said about the concept being "outside of the box".. well, thanks again, however..

    - The inspiration for this piece came not from within. Chris on Ozrodders.com has one of these trucks (a good one), & is cuttin' it down into a ground scrapin' low- boy fenderless r_t r_d. I meddled, merely wanting to show a possible alternative approach;

    LoCab rolls on!

    Tons of great photos and art greatness abounds on this board!

    Here's a quicky I did today... Not that I had time to...
    (... oh, and I'm aware the girl is too large... it's the wide angle lenses in my eye balls)

    I'll try again to post this illustration.
    Don't think It'll go.

    It's from the late 70's, one I did when I was working for Playboy magazine in 78.
    If you know engines, then you can see it.

    I'll try again to post this image.

    Man this is cool!
    Do you sell prints of this?

    Thanks all for the nice comments about "Apparition" and "The Mangler". I'm glad people are diggin' on it.

    Hey beebing you do gotta start somewhere. Just remember that the principles you learn to paint those little birdies will apply to everything you ever paint. It's a short hop from the curve of a birds chest to the curve of a fender.
