Hey Fellas!
I am trying to decide what color(s) to paint my '28 Roadster. Since it is a highboy, I am certain that I want the body and frame to be the same color. I am also thinking of clear coating the lake style headers, but completely open to suggestions. As for the long radius rods, front axle, wheels, etc, I am thinking an accent color or chrome. The color choices are below, either '28 Ford factory colors or Hot Rod Flatz colors. http://www.tcpglobal.com/kustomshop/ksflatz.aspx http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.asp...-ford-pg01.jpg Looking forward to seeing some suggestions - many thanks! |

I personally like dark colors like the midnight blue or maybe the Duchess blue. Nice looking roadster. Has anybody ever told you that you look a little like Elvis?

I like the idea of chroming your bones. Can never go wrong there. As far as the headers, the clear will likely burn off in places and rust underneath, no matter how clean it starts. Here's a link to Bill Hirschs website, these are probably the best heat resistant coatings you can do yourself. They look real smooth. My buddy just coated his and they look great.

Honestly Id do a metallic brown for the body and frame. ( I know its not in your selection but I think it looks super sharp.) Also, id chrome the accents including the headers. Personally, id stay away from the Hot rod flats, not a fan.

Sweet Roadster. I'm partial to Washington Blue, so I would go dark colors.

I'm partial to the Duchess Blue or the Ivory. Either would look great with black wheels.

That Duchess Blue is nice.....has a little green in it. I also like the idea of a darker blue on your little roadster. It would definitely make your chrome pop.
Here's a nice blue....don't know the color, but I think you get the idea.

Picking a color has always been the hardest part of anything i've built.
I'm voting for a deep green.

In addition to the Washington blue, A deep dark maroon color would be nice. Gloss black on the rims. My 2 cents.Todd

I am a fan of maroon body and frame, with black and chrome accents.
