    I can't help noticing the radical modifications on all the cars. Like the wild rear quarters and the wild pan on this Chevy. It seems the mods were pushing the envelope but they looked good, well designed, in good taste.

    Here's one from Tulsa a year earlier, 1960, of my just completed build. And yes, white spare tire covers were the hot setup in 1960, one '60's fad that fortunately hasn't returned.

    This was Don jackson's '56, built by Ray Farhner/Doug Thompson in 1961. It was indeed one of the most nicely styled '56 radical customs ever built. Pearl white paint, both te front fenders and rear quarters bent and tucked under, Impala side trim. Rod and Custom Feature car.
