This is probably a 20 year old picture of my blue Cyclone and my friend Stan's white Cyclone. Both 4 speed cars and we both still own them. Stan,s car just hit the track this year for the first time in over 10 years. It is an aluminum headed 289 and he put in a Mustang II front suspension recently. Brian

Hey, I live in Cambridge, I met Grumpy a few years back when I lived in PA. One of my neighbors was running a gasser. He was friends with Grumpy and he wrenched on the car with him.

The Rocket's semi-officially DONE!!! Just came in from the garage, after all wiring, seats, harnesses, and all the little minutia! Now, if only the weather'll clear up for a seat belt pass!!! :D

    Roy,
Yes I'm glad to finally have it rescued. This Comet still belongs to the man in the first picture who raced it back in the 60s. He had 3 Comet drag cars and I bought the other 2 of them from him 2 years ago. He may want us to build it for him but not sure yet. He is almost 80 now and that would really be cool. We just helped him get his car back.

Yes I would love to build it for him. He is a super guy and can go on for hours about drag racing in southern California in the 50s 60s and early 70s before he moved back to Texas. The other cars are not done though I do have them stored inside now. I've been busy with the 65 Fairlane Les Ritchey car that I also got from him. The Comets are next. I need to get the other 2 out and post a picture of all 3 together.

showmanwi;your Cyclone has to be one of the cleanest ever!!! They weren't that nice new!! Most Cyclones would have had the chrome wheel look hubcaps, but I think the "poverty" caps are KOOL!! ROY.
