I have a Chevy V8 small block engine with the front engine code stamping numbers of 19J112956 V09T7FB and I am having problems identifying it. The rear stamping cannot be read due to the placement of the firewall/engine. I have been to several websites, but the numbers don't seem to match up. Can anyone help? Thank You
if 32v is correct - then if you HAVE an oil filter flange - you must have the 327, if there's no provision for an oil filter on the block driver's side - then it is a 55 265 dj
Yes, it's a 327. Thank you all very much. Is it possible to tell from the front stamping what vehicle it came out of. I was told a corvette, but everyone with a 327 seems to say that.
engine suffix code fb is a 1969 327 with powerglide in a full size car, got this off nastyz28 web site ,hope this helps .
19Jxxxxxx means it's a Chevy car from 1969 (or 1979) made in Janesville can't be a 79 because the FB suffix is only two digits, that makes it 1969 or older. so yeah it's a 69 327.
