We'll be doing the MoPar Polysphere's next, as well as the early Cheby I6's.

Hey Kevin...Have You given any thought to doing some header flanges for the Edelbrock Oldsmobile Head?

The port size is waaay different than the stockers, but aside from that, they're the same pattern.

Oooh, how much does the Chevy I6 flange run? I just picked up a 250 and want to build a header. That one looks like it would also be part of the intake?

We could. I never thought of it since it's a "new" engine head. Is there a special gasket?

To date, no. This is an area You may want to invest some time into, though...Thier Pontiac head has a round port, and the only headers avalible for those are $pendy- The Olds head has the Mondello raised floor, thier Chevy head(s) have thier own fun little glitches...The ford stuff has revisions as well.

Most ( if not all) of thier heads are worth significant performance gains, right up until You try to find a decent header for them. Your choicer are pretty much Hooker super Comps, or something craptacular. What would You need?

You know, I've talked to these guys several times, and they seem like they'd LOVE to make gaskets for those:

Speakin of Header Gaskets, My first set of Thorleys came with these killer gaskets that said "durabla" on them. They never leaked- and they were on the car for 10+ Years!

The stuff looked like Tile. it was amazing. Then the new motor fell in, which required a header change, and the old Gaskets wouldn't work with the new headers.

I wanna bronze them and hang 'em from the wall.....

Why did you do the Intake along with the exhaust?? I don't do mine that way. So the Intake flanges are Steel Or Alum which ever one wanted. But exhaust Is steel on it's own. Just like any other header.

    Attached Files:

  17. 3/8" Steel Hot or Cold Rolled ? Flame, Water, or Lazer cut ? Any Stainless options ?

    Thanks Tom

Because it gives a guy the option of doing a U-fab manifold for those engines with scarce or non-existant intake manifolds. We can still make them without the intake ports, but most have wanted them with.

Actually, Pickled and Oiled. Laser cut. Yes, we can make them in stainless at the customers request.

  20. I like the 250 six!

  21. Pickled and Oiled does'nt answer my question.
As you know Hot Rolled makes poor flanges and Cold Rolled makes better ones. Before I'd buy any I would want to know what they are made of exactly, so I know what I'm buying.

    Thanks Tom

How about the 235 Chevy 6 banger? Is that something you can do?

Wow. Sorry, I didn't notice this until just now. We're going to add a bunch of flanges today on here. Cold rolled. Hot rolled steel is just a waste of time when your building something. It takes forever to grind off the mill scale, and I don't want our customers having to do that when a simple kiss of the sanding disc will do the job in a hurry.

Yes, we do that now. I had to find a head to program from, as the gaskets are multi-piece.
