Well in that case the ball is in your court , but a bandaid fix could be a new hardened cotter bolt and red Loctite , and then make sure you shim...
a good blacksmith will be able reduce the size of the eye , then ream the eye and cotter hole to correct size , I have done quite a few years ago...
to my way of thinking..............stock lights but moved in towards the centre 1 inch or 1 1/2 inches per side steve in Oz

I would set the diff in the right place , rear quarter on with the wheel arch reveal in exactly the right location ( eyeball engineering side...

thats where the cowl was cut to do the radical chop ...........the tear would be typical from impact on the heat affected zone of the weld very...
