It must be in more than one Peterson engine swap book because it is not on the cover of the one I have with it in it.
That appears to be the same one that is in the engine swap mag and with a lot more pics and info.
When 85 is powered and 86 grounded the relay is energized and 30 powers 87. When 85 is NOT powered the relay is not energized and 30 powers 87a.
Please explain. In this wiring diagram it looks like this is powering the coil with 12v when the switch is off and dropping the power to the coil...
I'm not much on fordors but I love that '37.
You will need an FE bellhousing to fit your fordamatic or cruiseomatic.
Look for nicks on the top lip of the cylinder where the lid seals. They get pretty rough with the castings in the clean and rebuild process...
From almost 400 in both inbox and sent I'm down to 12. I had no idea it made any difference. Will sort them as I go from now on. Thanks
Either of those carbs should fit either manifold. I would say run which ever one is in the better shape. You can always swap carbs later....
Give them a call.
Not car related but interesting and depends on your interests I guess. The Terry Redlin art museum in Watertown.
It really doesn't matter where the rods are installed as long as they are oriented correctly. All the rods are the same before they stamp the...
When I did mine I spotted it real good with my mig. I don't think the heat will go deep enoough to have any effect on it.
Totaly wood frame structure including the sub frame rails. Really unusual to find one with any kind of decent wood in it and a huge job to...

Humid weather. You have to keep the humidity down. Circulation is great but get a dehumidifer.
How does the track width on the Aerostar match up with the '60 F100?
Probably 4:11. If you only let one wheel turn you have to let it go two revolutions as you count the driveshaft turns. A 2:10 ratio would be...
There is some very interesting stuff in that collection. Keep track of it. The dry Ks. climate looks to have been kind to things. Most...
Around here, usually about 3 lbs.
Definitely an FE. The casting # indicates an earlier block with only 2 motor mount bolt holes.
Check for the spider gears. If the block and springs are installed between the side gears but no spiders, the friction of the of the clutches...
Sounds like it doesn't have any spider gears in it.
Are you saying that the driveshaft continues to turn with the wheels stopped?
A lot of info here. http://www.gmcpauls.com/47-72_BedWood_Info.htm More here http://www.mar-k.com/final_summary.html
GM definitely put O.D. trans in some of their pickups in the 80's. Not sure of the make of them but have driven them. Easy enough to check if it...
Assuming you have an alternator, disconnect it and see if the batt. drain goes away.
A lot of the larger trucks have wheel cylinders that require a long flare nut to seat in the cylinder.
With 30" tires and an OD trans I think the 4:11's will be a good choice. Should give you 70MPH at a little over 2200 RPM.
