The Jalopy Journal
I figured it out. Thanks for your help guys. A couple whacks with a hammer on the clutch fork and it started moving again. The linkage did need a...
I'm 98% sure it is not the linkage as I did have it working. Didn't have the car running but I did have the clutch working. Everything is new but...
I'm going to have a look for that. I might need to pull the motor out. I don't think I can undo the bell house with it in the car.
I'm afraid it might be something like that. I really don't want to have to pull out the trans but I might need to.
Not much to take pics of. The pedal assembly is original and the mechanism is all home made and all works smoothly. The problem seems to be in...
I haven't posted anything in awhile but I need some help! I've been slowly putting a new drive train in my Chevy. Nothing fancy. Just a SBC with a...
Thanks for the info. I was just curious what year it was when you were driving it around that low.
That is super cool! What year was the picture taken?
I think he's had that car since the 60's when it really was a street car. Best pass this year was 8.57 @ 155mph.
My buddy's 46 Ford Convertible is for sale if anyone is interested. PM me for details.
Yup. More power. I'm hoping for about 200HP, double the HP of the car now. Should make the car way nicer to drive. The original drive train is...
Most of that car was painted about 30 or more years ago. I painted the fenders for it last year but he brought his own paint for me to use. I...
I'll look for you guys by the showroom at 11.
Let me know what you guys are planning on doing. I'm meeting my buddy at 8 then we're heading out. We are planning to go rain or shine but if it's...
Thanks for thinking of me. My trip hasn't been that bad. My wife and kids are having a great time. I'll definitely be there in 2019! I've seen a...
Mine's kinda poking fun at people spelling things with a K other than kustom. It stuck and I use it for everything now. I couldn't use my real...
Really? It's the last year for it? That's too bad.
Thanks George. It's Ok if you throw in a couple Vietman pics too. Watch for registration number 557. That's the lucky guy that got my spot.
Yup....doesn't help. Not gonna happen.
I'm not going. We're going to my wife's stupid cousin's stupid wedding in stupid Banff that weekend.....but I'm not bitter about it at all.
I have nothing usefull to ad but am really interested in seeing what you do to make the stock throttle pedal work. As well as what you do with the...
I've never worried about winning awards with my car but what category do you put a car like mine in? It was build mostly by myself, a professional...
I kinda like it un-chopped better. It looks really long chopped.
Slow....I keep spending my hot rod time working my buddy's roadster so I don't have the new rear end in my car yet. And my other buddy hasn't...
I've painted several things with the Uno. I like it.

I think it was 1 coil. It's been several years since I did it. I also put in shorter bump stops.
Thanks man. I'm making some custom side trim for the doors and fenders. Kinda like the '52 style but shorter. I'm also putting a new motor, trans...
I usually hold the wire just above the part with my other hand. It's simple but it works.
I usually do multi-colour stuff like Voodoo Rod said with clear coat. It makes it easy to clean up any paint that ends up in the wrong place too.
