Had a OT 90 pickup with a stock 350 that picked up HP by putting a y pipe and a 3.5 flowmaster. Had dual 2.25 pipes and glass packs.
does the spark quit below 2k? pull a plug wire and check. maybe a bad hei module
Put a dowel on the timing chain cover and listen if the sound is coming from there. Maybe loose timing chain.
If you drop the tie rod lower it will be below the scrub line.
That front end needs some major work. Raising the engine to clear the tie rod and lowering the steering arm to level it out should take care...
