Very nice car. Sometimes you have to watch, when you push them for a look. You might catch a charge? Satire.

Great looking car and I really appreciate you having a A grille shell/surround on an A! I see too many with the beautiful ‘32 shell but the A version is no slouch either.

Imagine how much better it would look in blue! LOL

    Heya Scott,

I gotta tell you that there are 3 28-29 tudors I really like, all are red, and this is one of them. The other is Danny Brent's (I hope I got that right) and one built out here.

If I had a tudor, it'd be built in the same style - same chop, same stance, just different running gear.

I’m confused. Same car, or a new tribute car? Looks great either way!

Built about 9 years after the Danny Brent cee-dan. Mighty similar. Inspired by? Side by side.jpg

    Chop height? Check
Louver placement on hood, visor and aprons? Check

I'm going to have to go and dig through my American Rodder collection and read up on it, but would love to hear what went on between 1987 and now.

Me likey. The contrasting but subtle pinstriping is quite tastefully done.

Thanks for all your comments, I had tracked the original DBrent car in Bakersfield, the seller dragged it on for 2 years showing me photos of it in great condition and charging his mind to keep it or sell it. When I finally got the okay to see it, it was impounded in a yard for a delinquent loan. The car was in poor condition and not running. I passed on it in disillusion. Did I mention that the seller was a druggy??

He sold it to a friend, the GRNS Model A display was approaching and I was promised a spot if I acquired the car, arranged to view the car once more and passed, In the end the new owner saved a great car, well deserved.

A few weeks later a friend of mine saw the A I purchased in and ad and let me know. So strange that they are similar in many ways. Built by Roy Rockwell, great home builder.

She is getting a garage mate this week, I will have a kool driver that hopefully will get me off my A$& to get the Tudor on the road.

    thanks for listening!!!!

    Scott

Neat story. Would be cool to see the two cars parked next to each other.
Is the Brent car still in Orange County?

Damn, Scott, thanks for the backstory. It's riveting. No doubt this is a badass car and a great build, but the back story is every bit as good.

Incredible that the two cars are so very, extremely similar. Glad you passed on the original and were blessed with an inspired successor.

    Unbelievable. Incredible. Awesome.

For me the car has a timeless look.
    Nothing trendy here.
The stance, chop, paint, wheels, nailed it!
It would be a cool car in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's.......and today.
Don't understand why some people just have to have the latest.
    COOL will always be Cool!
    Great car.

  25. Now that’s how you build an A sedan, not channeled 4 feet with the rear wheels level with the windows. Love to see more pics!

    Scotty,
I seem to remember that car being an Outrider car. Owned by a member, can’t recall his name, but the description page shows a partial name from that AR feature. What’s the name on that?
Great car, let’s get it out and let’s see it’s “new”stable mate.
