To me, the box and the artwork on the lid are more interesting than the actual ornaments.

 

This little Dixco tach was the fun score from Carlisle today. Transparent body, it's cool!

 

Wonder if this might have been a store display model at a speed shop somewhere?

 

Popped back up to Carlisle this morning. Weather forecast was right, rain by noon. A guy who was packing up saw my looking at these traction bars and made me a good deal. Unknown application, I tried them on a Chevelle rear, does not fit. Any ideas out there?

 

Picked up this early sixties Tudor Basket all game,works but it is pretty lame .I will say that you can make three point shots with it

 

Interesting design - those axle clamping hoops must be pretty tight to stop them slipping when the spring winds up.

It looks like the bolt hole between the axle and the bar is what stops rotation. I believe these are specific to a certain car for that reason. They don't match up to tri 5 or Chevelle, I compared them to what I have here. Thanks!

Ah - I see what you mean about the bolts.

When I first started out, I only had one type of vehicle (a couple of 60's Holdens, like the avatar). Everything I had stashed away fit those cars. I put a Chev into the avatar, but Chev gear is usually easy to identify. Now that the kids have cars, my shop looks like a wreckers. I've started labelling stuff (using the rectangular manila tags with the eyehole reinforced, and cotton twine), as I'm starting to forget what some things came off. Hopefully this makes it easier when someone has to identify my stuff later.

REAL Ford or fake aftermarket? I have Five looking for a new home.

 

I think these were used on '51 Fords and are real, to the best of my knowledge.

 

I typically don't like to buy memorabilia type stuff online or from dealers, I like to find stuff "in the wild", especially with local history.

But this thing was too good to pass up. My '52 actually has these on it, just like the picture.

I found this at an antique store in Dewey OK today. I thought that it would make a cool shift knob insert . But I’ll probably hang it up somewhere
