@Black Panther and @jimmy six said 51 Ford. I think that's correct. I just learned I can search images LOL. And that's what came up.
If you're using Google you type in your search work "1951 ford dash", hit enter and hit "images" under the search bar. Look at all the pretty pics........that most likely will be a link to here . 1951 Ford:
Thanks, I guess I’ve done that ,I was thinking plugging in an image and getting a description, inverse to what you said. Thanks Dan
Open Google and click on the camera icon next to the microphone. Then drag the photo you want to search and go for it.
Had the same dash in my 53 , one of the nicest out there !! chrysler and their subsidiaries ( DODGE ) in the 50’s had some of the nicest dashboards and interiors out their at the time !
If it came out of a 6V car, the only things that are electric are the fuel gauge and the dash lights. Temp and oil pressure are usually mechanical, and the ammeter doesn't care about the voltage, but may "peg out" with an alternator set-up.
Lots of clusters were still 6 volts up into the 1970’s. They just used a transformer to drop the voltage back down from 12 to 6. Ford did that, as well as others.
Ford called it an IVR. Instrument Voltage Regulator. I was once into 1973-79 Ford pickups and replaced more than a couple.
